Report on the Activities of the Cultural Committee of Parwan University

2023–2026

Introduction

The Cultural Committee of Parwan University has undertaken a range of activities at the university level from 2023 to 2026, with the aim of strengthening cultural, academic, social, and commemorative activities; fostering coordination among different university units; supporting academic and cultural programs; and facilitating the orderly and dignified organization of official ceremonies and programs of the university.

During this period, the Committee, in cooperation and coordination with the University Leadership, relevant Vice-Chancellorships, Faculties, academic staff, administrative employees, students, and other relevant units, has played an active role in various areas, including cultural affairs, program organization, ceremonial arrangements, preparation and coordination of official documents, public information, and recognition of individuals who contributed to university programs.

Major Activities and Achievements

1. Preparation and Compilation of the University Catalogue

One of the major activities of the Cultural Committee was its contribution to the preparation, organization, and compilation of the Parwan University Catalogue. This initiative was undertaken to introduce the university’s organizational structure, academic capacities, faculties, academic units, and other relevant information, and contributed to the better presentation of the university’s academic and cultural identity.

2. Planning and Organization of Student Graduation Ceremonies

From 2023 to 2025, the Cultural Committee played an active role in the planning, coordination, and organization of graduation ceremonies for students of the university’s nine faculties.

These activities included coordination of cultural affairs, organization of ceremony programs, preparation of ceremonial arrangements, and cooperation with various university units to ensure the orderly and dignified conduct of graduation ceremonies.

3. Organization and Conduct of 24 Asad Ceremonies

From 2023 to 2025, the Cultural Committee also actively participated in the organization and conduct of ceremonies related to 24 Asad, contributing to various aspects of planning, coordination, cultural affairs, and ceremonial arrangements.

4. Preparation and Coordination of Ceremony Banners

One of the Committee’s continuing activities has been the preparation, editing, and review of texts for banners used at official university ceremonies and programs. In this process, appropriate content, formal language, coherence of information, and alignment with the objectives of each program have been taken into consideration.

5. Preparation and Coordination of Official Invitations

The Cultural Committee has also been involved in the preparation and coordination of official invitation texts for guests attending graduation ceremonies and other university programs. Efforts have been made to ensure that invitations are prepared in accordance with administrative and ceremonial standards and formal institutional language.

6. Organization of Discipline and Ceremonial Arrangements

One of the important areas of the Cultural Committee’s activities has been the organization of disciplinary, ceremonial, and protocol arrangements for official ceremonies. In coordination with relevant units, the Committee has contributed to maintaining order, ensuring program coherence, and facilitating the proper implementation of official events.

7. Preparation of Appreciation and Recognition Plaques

In recognition of the contributions and efforts of academic staff, administrative employees, students, and service staff, the Cultural Committee has prepared and coordinated the texts and content of appreciation and recognition plaques.

This initiative was undertaken to promote a culture of appreciation, encourage collective cooperation, and recognize the efforts of individuals who contributed to the successful implementation of university programs.

8. Organization of Appreciation and Recognition Ceremony

As part of its recognition programs, the Cultural Committee played an active role in organizing a ceremony for the presentation of appreciation plaques to academic staff, administrative employees, students, and service staff who contributed to the successful organization of graduation ceremonies.

The program was conducted to strengthen the spirit of cooperation, promote motivation, and institutionalize a culture of appreciation and gratitude within the university environment.

9. Organization of a Book Collection Program

The Cultural Committee also organized a book collection program at the Faculty of Social Sciences. The program was conducted with the aim of promoting a culture of reading, enriching available learning resources, and encouraging students and members of the university community to contribute to the development of academic and cultural resources.

10. Organization of a Research Methodology Program

Another academic and cultural initiative of the Committee was the organization of a research methodology program at the Faculty of Social Sciences. The program was conducted to enhance students’ academic capacities and provide them with greater familiarity with the principles and methods of academic research.

11. Contribution to the Cultural Affairs of the National Conference on Curriculum

The Cultural Committee also undertook various responsibilities and activities in connection with the National Conference on the Role of Standardized Higher Education Curriculum in the Growth and Development of the Country.

The activities carried out in this area included:

Cooperation in organizing the disciplinary and ceremonial arrangements of the conference;
Preparation and coordination of conference banner texts;
Coordination and installation of program banners;
Preparation and coordination of certificates of participation;
Preparation and coordination of appreciation plaques;
Cooperation in coordinating the cultural and ceremonial aspects of the program; and
Contributing to the provision of the necessary arrangements for the orderly and dignified conduct of the conference.

12. Organization of Documents and Cultural Affairs for Graduation Ceremonies, 2023–2026

From 2023 to 2026, the Cultural Committee continuously contributed to the preparation and coordination of documents and cultural affairs related to graduation ceremonies.

These activities included:

Preparation and coordination of banner texts and coordination of their installation;
Preparation and coordination of certificates for graduates;
Preparation and coordination of appreciation plaques for academic staff;
Preparation and coordination of appreciation plaques for administrative employees;
Preparation and coordination of appreciation plaques for service staff;
Preparation and coordination of appreciation plaques for student volunteers and collaborators;
Cooperation in coordinating the cultural and ceremonial aspects of graduation ceremonies; and
Cooperation in organizing and coordinating various components of graduation programs.

13. Design and Preparation of the University Introduction Brochure

In order to introduce the academic and educational capacities, achievements, academic and educational structure, and activities of Parwan University, the Cultural Committee undertook the design, organization, and preparation of a University Introduction Brochure.

The brochure presents essential information about the university, its faculties, academic and educational capacities, activities, and achievements in an organized and appealing format. It has been developed as an effective communication tool for promoting and presenting the academic, cultural, and educational identity of Parwan University.

Conclusion

Based on the activities carried out, the Cultural Committee of Parwan University played an active and effective role from 2023 to 2026 in various areas of cultural, academic, social, ceremonial, and official program organization.

In addition to contributing to order and coordination during official ceremonies, these activities provided opportunities to strengthen a culture of cooperation, appreciation, and recognition; promote reading as well as academic and cultural activities; and further introduce and highlight the capacities of Parwan University.

Throughout these years, the Cultural Committee has endeavored, through coordination and cooperation with the University Leadership, faculties, academic staff, administrative employees, students, and other relevant units, to fulfill its assigned responsibilities with diligence, commitment, and a spirit of cooperation, and to make an effective contribution toward strengthening the cultural and social activities of Parwan University.
