Vision of the faulty of law and Political science
The Faculty of Law and Political Science of Parwan University aspires to become a reputable academic and research-oriented faculty in the fields of law and political science, grounded in Islamic values and responsive to societal transformations.

Mission of law faculty
The Faculty of Law and Political Science of Parwan University is committed to providing higher education services in the fields of law and political science at the bachelor’s level, within the framework of Islamic values and in accordance with national and international standards, through theoretical and practical education, research, and scientific and professional innovation.

Goals of the Faculty
1.    Training and educating academic and professional cadres in law and politics.
2.    Intellectual and psychological development of students.
3.    Preparing students for entry into professional, academic, and employment fields.
4.    Enhancing students’ capacity for lifelong learning.

History of the Department of Law    
The Department of Law is one of the most important and practical departments of Parwan University and enjoys a longer historical background. Since the establishment of the Faculty, the Law program has existed and operated within the Faculty of Law and Political Science as an independent discipline, providing services to society. Each year, the Department graduates students and has contributed hundreds of trained young professionals to society.
Currently, the Department offers a minimum of 136 credits and a maximum of 157 academic credits, of which 78 credits are specialized, 40 credits are core courses, and the remaining credits are allocated to general and elective courses. At present, the Department of Law has six full-time academic staff members, all holding master’s degrees.
The Faculty of Law and Political Science of Parwan University strives to become an innovative academic, educational, and research-oriented faculty in the fields of law and politics, aligned with the evolving needs of society.

The Law Program within the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Parwan University seeks to establish itself, at the bachelor’s level, as a reputable academic program in legal education, grounded in Islamic values and responsive to societal developments
Mission of the Law Program
The Law Program, in compliance with Islamic values and national and international standards, provides theoretical and practical legal education at the bachelor’s level through systematic instruction, research, and scientific and professional innovation.
Educational Objectives of the Law Program
As an applied discipline, the Law Program pursues the following objectives:
1.    Training specialized, professional, and committed legal cadres in accordance with labor market demands.
2.    Promoting a culture of research among students and faculty to advance legal knowledge nationwide.
3.    Expanding practical activities (including moot courts, observation of judicial and legal institutions) to enhance students’ practical legal skills.
4.    Empowering students to provide legal consultation and resolve disputes.
5.    Enhancing students’ legal writing skills.
6.    Strengthening patriotism, tolerance, honesty, cooperation, and commitment to Islamic and national values among students.
7.    Encouraging and guiding students in job placement and improving general skills through workshops, conferences, and seminars.

Expected Outcomes of the Law Program (Five-Year Outlook)
1.    Graduates will be able to effectively serve in professions such as defense advocacy, judiciary, prosecution, and other institutions.
2.    Students and graduates will be capable of providing standard legal consultation and effectively resolving civil, commercial, and criminal disputes.
3.    Graduates will possess sufficient skills to facilitate employment and professional advancement.
4.    Within five years, the Department of Law will become a first-class and distinguished department at the university level.
5.    Graduates will be able to analyze international legal issues and propose solutions to legal disputes.
6.    Graduates will be capable of representing Afghanistan in international forums and defending national interests.
7.    Graduates will serve as legal experts and researchers in various legal fields and contribute to legislation and legal interpretation.

History of the Department of Political Science and International Relations
The Department of Political Science and International Relations was established in 2013 (1392 Hijri) as a subunit of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at Parwan University. The formal study of political science and international relations in other universities of the country dates back several decades. The establishment of this Department at Parwan University aligns with national higher education policies and aims to systematically study human society and social transformations.
The Department offers a bachelor’s degree program. Its curriculum is developed in accordance with national and international standards and Islamic values, with a practical orientation toward addressing Afghanistan’s challenges. The program consists of a minimum of 136 credits and a maximum of 157 credits, including 74 specialized credits, 40 core credits, and the remainder allocated to general and elective courses.
Currently, the Department has five academic staff members, two of whom hold doctoral degrees and three hold bachelor’s degrees.

The Political Science Program within the Faculty of Law and Political Science of Parwan University aims to be recognized at the bachelor’s level as a dynamic and reputable academic program in political studies and international relations, grounded in Islamic values and aligned with social and political developments.
Mission of the Political Science Program
The Political Science Program is committed to providing theoretical and practical education in political science and international relations at the bachelor’s level, within the framework of Islamic values and in accordance with national and international standards, through education, research, and scientific and professional innovation.

5.    Improving students’ political writing skills.
6.    Strengthening patriotism, tolerance, integrity, cooperation, and commitment to Islamic and national values.
7.    Guiding students toward employment opportunities and improving general skills through workshops, conferences, and seminars.
